Summerwood Guest House

Fiona & Paulet were very accommodating with the little things I needed to make my stay easier. Also, their extra touches for example tea snacks in the lounge in the afternoons/evenings made me feel most welcome. I had guests over to spend the afternoon by the pool & they were also made to feel welcome. We were even offered an ice-cream treat on a warm summer afternoon - that really made us feel like we were at home. All the practical things were great: room, bed, facilities in the house & breakfasts. The location was excellent with close access to everything I needed in Stellenbosch & I could park my car at the guesthouse. Definitely a recommendation from me.

The location was perfect- you could walk into town or cycle as bikes were available to use Our room (4) was spacious, really comfy bead, phone charging points, nice bathroom with separate shower and bath and views over the garden and pool. The garden and pool area was beautiful with sunbeds and towels provided. The breakfasts each morning were delicious. The whole guesthouse was delightful and Fiona was so good at providing a friendly atmosphere and any information we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble.We didn’t want to leave.

Lovely setting and location. Fiona was a brilliant host , friendly and informative about the area. Delicious breakfasts overlooking the beautiful garden and pool. Lots of shade from the trees which was welcome. Easy to walk into Stellenbosch . Spacious room and very comfortable. Loved the friendly bunny.

Fiona, the host, was extremely welcoming, helpful and available. Breakfasts were vendors and delicious. Staff in breakfast room and on the ground were attentive and responsive. Free bikes with locks were available and tuteli the best way to go to town for visits or dinners. Rooms were perfectly appointed and bed very comfortable

The Summerwood location is ideal to walk into Stellenbosch. The garden & pool were a welcome break after the heat of the day. The room & all communal areas, like the lounge, were really good. The staff were very friendly & helpful, Fiona the owner in particular. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The star of the show has to be breakfast. The granola is fantastic & the various options of eggs, bacon, sourdough, avocado etc. were fully researched on our visit. 10/10 every time!!
